Supplemental Appropriation of $85,879 for Boston Public Schools Collective Bargaining Agreement

Message and order for a supplemental appropriation order for the Boston Public Schools Department for FY27 in the amount of Eighty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars ($85,879.00) to cover the FY27 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreement between the Boston School Committee and SEIU Local 888, Professional Employees Chapter, Department of Planning and Engineering. The terms of the contract are September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The major provision of the contract includes a base wage increase of 2% in September of 2026 and a flat dollar amount of $800 added to annual salaries in January of 2027.
