Supplemental Appropriation for School Custodians Collective Bargaining Agreement ($787,501)

Message and order for a supplemental appropriation order for Boston Public Schools Department for FY27 in the amount of Seven Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred One Dollars ($787,501.00) to cover the FY27 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreement between the Boston School Committee and Local Union 1952, Painters & Allied Trades District Council No. 35 (Custodians). The terms of the contract are September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The major provisions of the contract include a base wage increase of 2% and then a flat dollar amount of $800 to be added to annual salaries, both in September of 2026.
